It is also possible to explore the rest of the bays that the island has to offer. You can reach them either on foot or by boat. There are many marked paths across the island that will lead you towards these isolated locations, ideal for those people looking for new discoveries.

Try the experience of renting a single or double kayak, or a small motorboat (no nautical license required) to reach more distant beaches and bays or other tiny islands in Paklinski archipelago.

The variety of winds around Palmižana and the Dalmatian coast provides perfect conditions for sailing and wind surfing and even kite surfing.

Some visitors will prefer a more active experience - from swimming to snorkelling or diving in the colourful depths of the sea searching for lost treasures. 

The sea floor around Palmižana is rich with antique shipwrecks and amphorae so it is no wonder it is described as a diver's paradise. (Please it is illegal to remove any amphorae from the seabed). The rich variety of fish and the beautiful sea environment add to the crystal-clear waters which are ideal for scuba diving. 

The nearest dive centre is in the town of Hvar. We can organize for guests to be picked up directly on Palmižana.

On the northern side of the island, some 500 meters from the Meneghello Resort, there is a marina from where you can take either taxi boats (on request) or a tourist boat (services run regularly several times a day) to the town of Hvar. The ride takes about 15 minutes.

The town of Hvar, one of the most famous on the Adriatic coast, is full of cultural and historic monuments, shops, restaurants, cafes and bars. Hvar is also famous for its nightlife, clubs and bars.

It's rich in monuments including the 16th-century cathedral overlooking a magnificent piazza (the largest in Dalmatia), the arsenal and the 17th-century municipal theatre (the oldest public theatre in Europe), two monasteries and the hilltop fortress. During the summer there is the Hvar Summer Festival, and we recommend the classical music concerts in the cloisters of the Franciscan Monastery on the Hvar town seafront.

You can also rent a bicycle, motorbike or car to visit all over the island and experience its lavender fields and famous vineyards, olive groves, or explore the many quaint picturesque villages.
